Roo's Sugar Gem Gathering Log: Day 8 Today we visited Pan and Min’s bakery to ask about almond flour! They agreed to give us some, so I gave them a few sugar gems as a thank you. We still have plenty left, I think!!
Roo's Sugar Gem Gathering Log: Day 9 We ran into Pan and Min again today! They made a giant loaf of Sugar Gem Bread, and wanted us to taste it. There were colorful star patterns inside, and it tasted delicious!
Roo's Sugar Gem Gathering Log: Day 10 Today we went to the farmer’s market! There was a ton of fresh produce and plenty of people- we even met a cool Fisherbao! He’s taking us on his boat tomorrow, I can’t wait!
Roo's Sugar Gem Gathering Log: Day 11 I am not a morning person, so Ron had to carry me on his back all the way to the boat. All the sugar gems bobbing in the ocean water filled me with energy. I fished out as many as I could!!
Roo's Sugar Gem Gathering Log: Day 12 We fell asleep on the deck of Fisherbaos boat, last night. I had a strange dream of something swimming alongside the bobbing sugar gems. It looked exactly like it had a big tail...like a mermaid! I wonder if the salty sea loves the sweetness of sugar gems just as much as I do!
