Another end of the week has come, and it seems that the creamtopus numbers are slowly spacing out. The weather is no colder, but perhaps they know it is almost time to pack up their things and leave… this time of year is quite lonely, isn't it?
As all the visitors dwindle, that means there's less tables for my creamtopi friends to clean, at least. Alas, how bittersweet…
It seems that a collection of my usual creamtopi visitors and some tourists are planning… something. I've been told not to think too much about it, but my innate curiosity can't help but be piqued. Well… I do have my hands quite full with end-of-season prep around the shop, so I can't get distracted for too long…
Ah! It's just about time to wrap up these journal entries as well! I wonder if the creamtopi appreciate my notes.
Today—with the help of a particularly energetic group of creamtopi—I've finished my end-of-season preparations. My chipped cone friend and my odd spot friend stopped by to lend a paw (err… tentacle?) which was a pleasant surprise. Many have gone back early to prepare for the fall season, so I'd thought they'd have already left… it warms my stuffing to see them doing well.
And thanks to all the creamtopi arriving this season, I don't have much leftover stock. That's a good thing! I can turn to preparing fall seasonal dishes eventually.
Much to my surprise, the creamtopi and tourists had prepared a little party to thank me for keeping the store open amidst this creamtopi wave. My stuffing! I'm so touched! I was ever so happy to pitch in for supplies, even though they told me that the party was for me… haha. Seeing so many baos and creamtopi interacting with each other is something quite magical, indeed.
Alas, it's about time I end these entries and ship them off to be properly catalogued. It was fun while it lasted! For now… I'll put down my pen and spend the rest of the summer having a blast with these little creamtopus guys before they leave.
