Bit by bit, the leaves are starting to change colour. As the weather begins to cool, many baobears take their time foraging for supplies, gathering resources enough to last them through the winter. Considering their not-inconsiderable appetite, this is quite the undertaking! Fortunately, the wilds are lush with nature's bounty, ready for the picking (just make sure to leave enough for the local wildlife!)

A limited time prompt has been added. It will be active until NOV 30.

Just a few updates to commemorate the end of the season :D

Trick or Treat?
The bait is laid out, and drawn by the sweet scent of your treat,
Round the giant pumpkins, an crunching noise, spooky and slow,
a ghostly apparition appears, white as a sheet:
it's a tiny little ghost Smallow!

All Smallows will be distributed to all players who completed the Trick or Treat? prompt soon.
But that's not all... as a fun little extra, you can now come trick or treating with us!

Happy October, everyone! Not only is it the season for spooks, but it is also our anniversary month!

It's been four years since Baobears was founded in October, 2019. I cannot express how grateful I am to you, the community and players, both new and old, for your support these past few years! Baobears has always been a passion project of mine. I have a lot of feelings about it, but I will spare you all the details, haha! In the end, baobears is something that I'm honoured & grateful to be able to share with you all.

I hope I can continue working on it, and I hope you can keep enjoying it, too :)

To celebrate the new Abaolone Archipelago chapter, we will be offering custom Baobear commissions with seabao forms! These will be available for $300 each and come with one baobear form, one seabao form, plus a semi-custom human version of that baobear. Happy August! Today is the last month to play our summer event. Everyone's submissions have been such a delight to see, so thank you for paticipating!

As we head into August I have a few important announcements to make. 

Event: Seashell Summer

Each summer, the Abaolone Archipelago is visited by a mass of sea creatures known as the Creamtopus!

These icey, jelly-fish like mollusc migrate from the colder regions of the sea to the warmer, summery coasts of Abaolone in order to find food: their favourites being the famous summer specialties of the Archipelago!

This season, Brezel is looking to catalogue the behaviours and numbers of these uniquely rare creamtopi, and she needs YOUR help! Earn a chance for a random treat and up to 20 seashells by simply checking in daily through the creamtopus catalogue!  

Other than that, I've updated the bulletin board with new, user-submitted prompts, so please check them out!

The event shop also has new treats available... yum!
A new selection of cool drinks! Which will you order?

Need an incentive to start these new prompts?
Earn a bonus "Helper TIcket" for completing user-submitted prompts!

Hello everyone! Hope your June has been going well. Posting this a bit early as I will be afk soon ^^
This month has been a little bit messy, so thank you for your patience as we sort through things! :)

As we head into July, I have a few important announcements to make. 

Admin Break

As some of you may have noticed, the site has undergone a few changes since last month!
This was caused by a mishap as we were updating to the latest version of PHP.
We are still working on bringing the site back in order! Unfortunately, I will be out of town until July 5.
When I return, I'll get back to work~

In the meantime, approvals and responses will be slow.
If you spot any bugs, please report them on site too! ^^

Happy June, everybao! Today marks the start of a new season and a new event: Seashell Summer 🐚
There is plenty of new stuff, including: new features, raffles, pets, sales, and more. Take your time reading! 

Seashell Summer is an event that will be held from June 01 - August 31. This event will focus on multiple 'prompts' based on bulletin board jobs. 

Event exclusive items can be found in the event shop. For more information, please visit the event page. There will also be an event raffle, and several guest artist sales that will be posted throughout the month. More info about that below.

More activities will be added in July and August.
Players can also claim a Seashell Summer award and Beachside Busybody title for their profile and baobears.

New raffles have been posted! Each month, a new baobear will be raffled off to one lucky user.

A new feature, titles, has been added to the site. Titles are special achievements/decorations that can be attached to baobears. An example can be viewed on Bao's Profile! Once a title has been attached, it cannot be removed. Titles come with a special "icon" that you can hide/show on your baobears profile. 

You can view all currently available character titles here.
Some are currently unavailable. More titles will be added in the future.

Stock at Rosebeary's Bistro and Bao's Dumpling Shop have been updated. In addition, new items have been added. This includes the Summer Pet Ticket!
