Flower (Crown) Power

Bonnie felt a literal spring in her step as she bounded outside today.

She just couldn’t help it in this weather. Once it started getting warmer as she said goodbye to winter, something about the fresh, warm air, and the leaves growing back on the trees made her feel… well, excited!

Today, her plan was to get out of New Bao City and back into nature. She’d been cooped up for so long! Because of that, she was feeling antsy to get out into the open - and luckily, a very pretty meadow was just a bus ride and a small walk away!

Technically, it was more of a park than any kind of large, lush greenery, but it would do anyways. Bonnie wasn’t picky! It was pretty enough as-is, she thought.

Once she got off the bus, she smiled as she walked into the park. There were a few other baobears also enjoying the warm weather, and she was happy to join them! Especially since…

This park had the perfect amount of dandelions growing! Because the New Bao City parks team considered them weeds, you wouldn’t get in trouble for picking them - which was just what Bonnie came here today to do! Not only would it be helping clean up the park from invasive plants, they’d also be perfect to make a few flower crowns with!

She sat down near a particularly lush portion of the park, beginning to pick dandelion after dandelion. She was careful to pick them so that the whole root would be pulled up with the plant - if she just plucked them with no care for that, they’d just grow right back up, and she didn’t want that! No, she wasn’t just here to make something pretty, she was also here to help the community.

Once she’d gotten a good collection going, she started to fuss with them to put together her first crown. She wasn’t too good at making them yet, so she was making the first one for herself to practice! Once she had the skills down, she’d start making them for her friends, or other baos - anyone who wanted one, really!

Once she’d finished, it was lopsided, but clearly made with love. She smiled as she placed it atop her head proudly. The first crown of many! It was perfectly sized to fit her… she was excited to continue making more!

She started picking dandelions again, now back to the beginning of the process…
