Lemonade Stand

Bonnie grinned as she poured a glass for her latest customer.

Spring was here, which meant that lemonade stands were the biggest thing going on in New Bao City! No matter where you went, be it a park, in front of a mall, or even any sidewalk, you were sure to find one eventually - and Bonnie was no different!

Her stand, though, was a little special. Instead of asking for enough beans to make a profit, she just asked for enough to cover her expenses! Sure, any bao who wanted to could still give her a tip, but that wasn’t required. She just wanted to make sure that anyone who needed a refreshing drink today was able to get one!

“Thank you so much!” Said her current customer, taking a sip. “It’s getting so hot out lately… I was thinking about hopping into a restaurant to get something, but I knew I didn’t have enough beans for a fancy drink or anything like that!”

Bonnie laughed. “Don’t mention it! I’m glad you like it!”

Before they left, they put a few beans into the tip jar - not much, but… oh! She’d made enough tips that it matched the cost of another glass!

She thought to herself for a moment… before pouring one up for herself.

She hadn’t had a taste of her own mix ever since she tested it out just to make sure it was good, and now that she’d made enough to offset the cost… she thought she deserved it. Yum!

The city continued to bustle, and Bonnie enjoyed her drink.
