Lake Visit!

Oh, wow!

Bonnie was off on a wintery stroll to celebrate her new outfit - now that she was properly warm, she could explore and enjoy all that the landscape had to offer! No more running back indoors because the wind got too chilly! No more stomping around in clothes that got too cold and soggy from playing in the snow!

Today, she was hoping to go check a local lake. She felt like winter had a lot of natural beauty that other people didn’t really take the time to appreciate! Just because it didn’t have very many flowers blooming or animals about didn’t mean that it wasn’t a good season!

She gasped when she arrived at a small winter path towards the lake. This was exactly what she meant! The trees were all draped in just enough snow that it looked like they were all made of frosting - and some had icicles hanging off them that shone in the sunlight! It was beauty like no other - how elegant!

She wondered to herself if she’d even be lucky enough to spot any cute wintery animals as she explored - she’d love to see a little bunny or deer family wandering around while out on her adventure!

She loved animals… maybe she should adopt a frogbert or something someday to take care of! She smiled as she began to daydream about the wonders of pet ownership…

But she had to snap out of it! The more she wished for something else, the less she was appreciating what was right in front of her! No, she had to focus completely on appreciating the natural beauty in front of her—

Which was just what she thought right as she approached the frozen lake. Oh, this was beautiful!

The sunlight shone off of the ice in just the right way to make it sparkle, and all the frosty trees that lined the shore made it the perfect place to soak in the winter ambiance! She wondered if the lake’s ice was strong enough for ice skating, even… she made a mental note to go out there and test the ice, if she could!

For now, though, she was just going to sit on the coast - and wish that she had a cup of cocoa! Hmm… actually, that sounded pretty good right about now. After looking over the lake for a second, she decided maybe that’s what she’ll have when she got home…

Gosh, she loved winter!
