garden friend [budding blossom]

Taking care of flowers was a lost hobby that Bonnie had yet to take part in for a long time, and she had ended up neglecting her garden, causing weeds to take over. However, this one particular spring, one flower decided to grow through all the wild plants and weeds, a tulip looking bloom had begun. Bonnie's eyes widened as she saw it, immediately taking care to clean out the weeds around it to give it space. She hadn't intended on taking care of the garden, but if this flower was resilient enough to grow, she might as well help it along.

Over the coming days, Bonnie went out to the garden every day after work, tending to it and taking care some more of the weeds and wild plants, even watering the blooming tulip with an old, rusty watering can she had that she hadn't used in years. As she worked more and more in the garden, she realized that the tulip was not the only flower trying to grow, as if the tulip had simply flown in with a bunch of other seeds. This caused her to care more and more for the garden when she had her free time, even taking the time to mark out which plants were which, as she had an old flower identification book lying around in her home. The more Bonnie worked, the more peace she felt, and the more at peace she felt, the less stress she felt after the stressors of life, such as work, and was a welcome respite from it. Her love for her garden was once again blossoming, and so was the love for the plants that continued to grow there.

Eventually, the tulip, now a gentle light green color, was close to blooming, its large bloom and petals starting to split at the top to open up. Bonnie eagerly watched it, leaning over to take a first smell of such a lovely flower. However, she jerked back as it began to rock back and forth, letting out small peeps. It was then she realized as it popped out from the flower onto the fresh dirt, she had grown a rainbow tulipen! She gently took it up into her grasp, checking it gently to make sure it wasn't injured. It peeped back at her, flapping its wings eagerly to get off the dust, then peeped again as it flew up into the air. She gazed around in wonder and amazement as it flew around, the tulipen happily taking in the warm, spring sun. Her heart bloomed with love, joy and satisfaction at what she took care of, and eventually released into the world for all to see. She now realized that sometimes, it's the little things in life that bring us the most joy, and its never too late to take part in something you used to enjoy.

Bonnie said goodbye to the tulipen as it flew around, high into the sky so far that she couldn't see it any longer, and returned to her home to take rest for the night. When she returned to check up upon the other flowers, alongside the tulip the tulipen had been born from, she found the tulipen had made a nest in the tulip itself. It was deep in rest after the busy day it had yesterday, enjoying the home it had known for so long. When it realized that Bonnie had come into the garden, it awoke and happily peeped. It flapped its beautiful, rainbow wings, and flew onto her shoulder, giving her a happy, sweet, peck on the cheek.
