[Chickpea] Bao's Behest

A soft hum left Chickpea as the little Bao skipped along the busy sidewalk. It hadn't rained recently which made him very sad. No rain meant there were no fun puddles to stomp in while he walked! But that was alright! Chickpea was going to see Bao again today and was sure that there would be some nice, crunchy leaves to step on when he visited the park later.

The office was just as Chickpea remembered it, except for the white lump laying in the middle of the floor... which sudden growled very loudly!

"Oh!" He said, little paws rushing to cover his mouth in shock. Chickpea was unsure what to do when the rumbling thing rolled over to show it was... "Bao! Are you OK?"

Walking over, the little green Bao held out his paw to help the other up. Bao looked quite frowny as he rolled over onto his back, rubbing his tummy. "So... hungry..."

Well, if that's all it was, then at least Chickpea felt a lot better! There was no scary monster about to chase him and Bao was not hurt. Just a bit peckish! Finally accepting the help up, Bao scrambles back onto all fours before he speaks again.

"You're here! Finally! I've been waiting forever to start our tour!" As excited as Bao seems, Chickpea does feel a bit bad about making the other wait. Chickpea didn't think he had been late, but he also didn't want someone else to be go hungry just because of him! Maybe next time he visited he would try and bring a snack for Bao to make up for it.

"I'm sorry I made you wait." Chickpea tried to start. But Bao just shook his head and waved it off, walking over to his desk to check the map.

"It's no problem! We have a lot to cover today, but our first stop of the day is, of course... breakfast! And I know the perfect place to go!" Bao seemed just as eager to show off a spot on the map, but his white paw covered it up. Chickpea squinted at it to try and parse out what it was, but he also couldn't read very well upside down. 'Eary's'? Were they going to have some ears for breakfast? That didn't seem very good.

Regardless of his Chickpea might have felt about it, Bao was already making his way towards the door and gently shooing Chickpea back out of it.
