Time to Forage!

Shramp sat among the foliage in his yard, he may not live close to the city but that's ok since there was plenty of nature about! He was staring at all the leaves and how they went from green to brown, some orange and other yellows. Everyday he watched them slowly change and that made him happy but he feels like he's missing something "...." what is he missing? He's surrounded by leaves, his pets are lounging in the nice weather, the trees are having a nice time so what's wrong? he sat there for a while thinking.

When suddenly something conked his head lightly, he looked down by his side and saw an acorn "!!" oh!! he knows now! he forgot to forage for fall! that's right he should've been around gathering fall items to put up around his home to bring nature inside. With that in mind Shramp went back inside to get his lil foraging basket then back outside holding an acorn shaped basket ready to be filled with things.

They gathered their pets and put them in the basket to snuggle and sleep in before carrying them off to gather things, the woods near his home were full of fall colors and plants making him excitedly stare at them for a few minutes each time he discovered something new from last time he saw them. Shramp finally reached the foraging area and began to gather a couple of things, some colorful fall tinted leaves, a couple of edible mushrooms after checking the mushroom book, some ripe berries full of flavor that he might have snuck a few into his mouth staining his paws and lips with them, and of course a single pine cone that was very shaped like a pine cone.

What a beautiful thing! He can't wait to put it on his shelf as they started walking back home, his noodley longgon peeked out the basket and began squeaking at them some "what's wrong?" he asked them in a soft little baobear voice as they used their tails to point at the berry bush, more? Well alright as he started to fill the basket with more and more ripe berries until they were told to stop by one of the other longgons. He gave a tiny little kiss on their head telling them they were a good pet by telling him when was enough "Baby no, you have enough berries ok?" the pink lil longgon just huffed like he carried the world on his shoulders.

Shramp loved each one dearly even if baby was a spoiled pink thing, Shramp marched back home happily while his little friends ate some berries after an ok from their owner, he may have munched on some more too but stopped them from eating most of them so they can make a good dessert with them. The sun had started setting turning the sky fall colored too, a chilly wind did blow through causing all pets to huddle under the berries as They finally reached home where he started unloading everything including the favored pine cone. Shramp kissed each pet softly on the head before taking the berries to the kitchen, his day will continue some more tomorrow but right now it's time to get ready for bed. What a nice fall foraging day, who knows what the next one will offer.
