Spring Cleaning Treasure

Julian is sitting on his balcony admiring the sunrise. The air is crisp and smells of floral beauty. It's springtime in New Bao City and nothing could be better. 

“A truly beautiful  day this will be!” He thinks to himself. 

Sipping on his tea there is a knock at the door.

Back into the cozy home and to the door goes Julian. He opens the Door and is greeted by a familiar face, Fiorella, with her red lace bow, and adorable pearl necklace has come to visit!

“Good morning Julian! What did you forget I was coming?” She tilts her head.

Julian realizes he has a shocked expression. “So sorry I was lost in the sunrise! You brought…-”

Fiorella is holding a large box with garbage bags, spray bottles, rags, and other cleaning supplies.

She smiles “We were going to do some spring cleaning! You mentioned that you needed a bit of help the other day. Royalty should be able to enjoy a nice clean space for the new season after all.” She giggles.

Julian takes the box and places it on the glass coffee table in the next room over. Fiorella follows, closing the door behind her.

The two friends  look around the room. Cases holding trinkets sit next to a fireplace. 

“Let's start there!" Fiorella gestures to the cases. “I will do one and you can do the other! It will be fun to shine up these memories!”

“Going down memory  lane is always a fun adventure,” he makes his way to the left case as Fiorella goes to the right. 

Julian opens the case and rubs his finger on one of the shelves. It's dusty. Not being the biggest  fan of dust, Julian makes a face.

“yuck.” he thinks. 

Pulled out of his thoughts of the dirty dust is the sound of a spray bottle. Fiorella is gently cleaning a small trinket of a Bao with a bow holding a crystal heart. 

“Oh! That's a cute one  isn't  it!” Julian grabs a rag and spray to start his own cleaning.

“It is really pretty, where did you get it? Do you remember?” Fiorella looks at her reflection in the many plains of the crystal.

Thinking long and hard, no memory  comes up. “I can't say I remember,” he finishes wiping away some dust on a small trinket that looks like a vase of flowers and goes to look at crystal  heart bao with Fiorella. With a small giggle Julian  goes “It reminds me of you.” he points at the bow, “Your style,” then points at the heart, “Your kindness, why don't you keep it! As a thank you gift!”

“You don't have to give it to me-” Fiorella starts, she is then cut off.

“I have no memory of this one, you keep it and treasure the memory of this wonderful  day and our friendship!” 

“Thank you Julian!” 

The two hug. “I have some newspaper  we can wrap that in to keep it safe!” Julian leaves the room and returns with some newspaper. Gently taking the trinket and wrapping it up before leaving again. He returns with a shoe box with a big heart and sparkles drawn on it.

“We can keep  this in a safe spot till you're  ready to leave!” Julian smiles.

“Thank you so much again!” Fiorella grins as she gently hugs her friend.

After finding a place to keep the treasure  safe, they go back to cleaning and discussing the wonderful things that spring will bring.
