[Gift] Potion Help
Bonnie sighed as she exited Rosebeary’s Bistro - that was exhausting! Cleaning up all of those dishes to help Bao pay off the bill felt like it took forever… but at least now, she could get back into the sun.
Bao dashed off already, having dropped her off at the hub, and grabbing a notice of their own to help out with. They seemed excited… maybe helping out with a job would help clear her own mind, too?
She glanced over the bulletins, before one of them made her eyes widen.
Greetings! My name is Ambrosius. I am seeking an assistant to help brew some potions - no prior experience needed. Beans will be provided for compensation. Meet me at the coffee shop, as they have been so kind as to loan me a spare room for my apothecary.
Well, that sounded interesting! Potions? Were those real at all? She had to go and find out for herself, beans or no beans!
She gently removed the job listing from the board, and dashed off to the coffee shop mentioned on the bulletin, hoping that nobody else had taken the job before she could.
When she entered the shop, she instantly could tell which bao she needed to help out - Ambrosius was wearing a getup suiting their magical disposition very well. She wondered if that was on purpose…
“Um, hello!” She waved. “I saw your job mentioning potion brewing and how you needed an assistant, um— I’d love to take it if it’s still open!”
Ambrosius nodded. “Ah, someone saw it? Good, good— I was hoping to get some work done today. Here, my apothecary is right this way…”
Bonnie walked carefully as she came into the room, eyes widening. The entire place was filled with vials and bubbling concoctions, it really did seem magical!
“I need you to dice these ingredients, and then grind them into fine powders,” Ambrosius instructed, pointing over to a table - there were some blueberries, ginger, herbs… things that Bonnie would assume were more suited for cooking than potion brewing. “The order is important— dice then grind. If you don’t do it that way, the potion will be angry.”
Huh. Bonnie didn’t think that a potion could have emotions at all. She nodded, regardless. “Sounds good— um, I’ll get started! If I may ask, what kind of potion is this going to be…?”
Ambrosius shook their head. “Can’t say.”
Bonnie just nodded. “O—okay! I’ll get right to work, then…!”
She got up onto the stool provided, and began to dice up the ingredients, still wondering what kind of potion she was helping with…
I hope I wrote Ambrosius ok! I love their vibe!! If they use different pronouns feel free to lmk & I can edit it ^^
