[Prompt] Fall!

Jackie had wandered around in search for something very important to them. Mushrooms. They absolutely loved fall mushrooms. Sauteed up. Put on pizza. It was an amazing treat. They were sent by Cheese to collect some, in exchange for free mushroom pizza. 

So they looked around for about an hour, finding just a few and putting them in their basket, which was, of course, halloween-themed. Another hour went by, and they sadly weren’t finding any. Getting a bit down, they kicked an acorn as they walked. It rolled, and stopped in a pile of leaves…. Wait a moment….

Little blurs of oranges, reds, and yellows shot by as the infamous pumpkin bao jumped into a huge pile of leaves. They giggle as they roll around, enjoying the prickly feel of the leaves around them. They were having the time of their life, even if there wasn’t another bao in sight. Tiny paws began to build the pile back up, excited for another big jump. Pulling themself up to stand on their chubby legs, they gave a big stretch, “One more time! One more time!” They chanted happily.

It was then a little creature ran over, knocking them back onto their bum. “Bonesby, you silly dog!” They laughed, getting little kisses from their pet. They booped the little red nose on the pup, “Careful, okay? This is leaf pile jumping time. Wanna join me?” 

A little bark was the reply.

“Okay! Oh, we got some judges for the best jump!” They bounced excitedly as they saw their other three pets. Dabatz carried a lazy Pochum, dropping it down on a tree stump and landed as well. A muddy dirt themed frogbert hopped up as well, then hopped onto Pochum to perch. Pochum, not caring at all, just squeaked a bit.

Jackie gave a few more stretches, playing an announcer as well as the jumper themselves, “The King of Halloween has blessed us with their appearance. Surely, we are in for the biggest jump ever! By their side is the terrifying beast Bonesby!” Another bark was heard, “Yes, they’re also pumped for this record-breaking jump. But are they ready? Well, let’s find out!” A big grin spread across the bao’s face, as they prepared themselves.

With a large jump, feeling the cool autumn air fly past them, Jackie jumped. They tried to do some cool move as they did, turning and landing on their back against the cushy leaves. Bonesby jumped as well, landing on them. Jackie said, “Oof, you’re too chunky, Bones!” They laughed, as the puppy licked their cheeks, “H-hey, stop that!” This was just their favorite thing in the world. Autumn was their favorite holiday, and soon it will end. Soon, the cold winter air will sweep over, leaving these colorful leaves behind. It was surely a sad thought, but nothing that truly bothered the bear. For, they knew that it will be back again next year. And next year, they will plan the best autumn ever, as usual!

With that thought gone, they rolled over, stopping to see a large amount of mushrooms. Enough for all their friends to share mushroom pizza!!! They literally lit up, eyes glowing brightly. They foraged to their hearts content, but did leave some for the local wildlife. Of course, Jackie thought pizza would be better, but Cheese told them that some wildlife couldn’t eat pizza. How sad! Either way, the little bear looked at their little basket of goodies. Feeling excited that they worked so hard, Jackie made their way back to the pizza parlor. The thought of enjoying food with friends on an autumn night was enough to make them warm inside!
