Ramen Tasting

Frankie stared at BaoSmith, BaoSmith stared back at Frankie. Both were just staring until an hour of silence went by and they began to squeak excitedly at each other, they understood one another and the little grey mossy looking bao was so glad they finally met their long time brother? they were created by the same person so yes! brother! Both held little paws and walked around the city to explore together. The smell of good food was floating through the air making their little stomachs rumble, should they break for lunch? why not! They followed their noses to a particular smell, it was making them almost levitate in interest if bao bears could levitate.

Their peets stopped right in front of a shop that had some squiggly looking writing on the top but the translation was right underneath it, ramen shop, that's what the side basically boiled down to making the two look at one another before nodding, they will have ramen today! they entered with eager hungry bellies and sat down at the counter looking at the menu with salivating little mouths. Oh there were so many options, should they get the same thing or should they get something different and compare? they did rock paper scissors to choose and opted to both have the same thing and just keep it like that when they'll visit next time down the line.

Frankie and BaoSmith stared at the menu some more trying to think what could they possibly get? there were some images but most of it was words when the two spied a really yummy picture, tonkatsu ramen! Oh boy! that sounded so good! and it looked even better as they both ordered it but the extras they were allowed to get on it were different, Frankie wanted more char sui in his bowl but BaoSmith wanted extra soft boiled eggs with his, wow despite being brothers and friends they still ended up having their own differences! Their bowls of ramen soon came out and without further ado they began to chow down.

Oh the rich broth was something else! and the noodles were perfectly boiled too! Frankie loved how strong the char sui tasted while BaoSmith enjoyed the runny goodness of the soft boiled eggs mixing with the broth of his bowl, Both could feel the warmth of the soup spreading through out their little bodies. They were lost in the deliciousness of the tonkatsu ramen sauce that by the time they finished they needed another bowl! not because they were hungry but to appreciate the flavor again, oh goodness was there even words to describe what they felt for another round of ramen?

The two finished off their second bowl and paid for it happily, they held paws again while walking down the city streets with full bellies, they squeaked and again the words to describe the feeling they had were lost on their tongue along with the flavor of the ramen they just had too, they may have forgotten the taste since they're silly little baos but they wouldn't mind going back another time to try a new flavor and comparing them with the first bowl they had with what little memory of the taste in their mind. What a perfect way to end their lunch as the sights of the city lay before them, ripe for the taking!
